I first became interested in knitwear design while doing a Fashion/Textiles degree, when a visiting tutor set a knitwear project. After graduating I worked in London as a designer working on factory machine knits for suppliers to the major high street retailers. I then started to design commercially produced handknits for similar companies. I began designing for knitting magazines, which I still do now. I also work for yarn companies and have had several books published in my own name and have worked on others along with other designers. I have a team of knitters and a pattern writer who produces the garment designs.
