The rich history of the iconic Aran sweater was the inspiration for the Moss and Cable Jumper. Heavily textured double moss stitch traditionally represents the carageen moss that grows abundantly across the stone walls and spectacular cliffs of the west coast of Ireland. For self-sufficient fishermen, the rows of cables adorning the sleeves would have symbolised ropes, protection and good fortune, with the expectation of a bountiful catch.
