About this Pattern

About the Designer
Errata

The Jesse Sweater is a cosy knit that makes the most of the beautiful stitch definition and even tones of Scheepjes Kindsome. It’s an inviting project with a pleasing rhythm for quiet afternoons, whether you’re knitting for your own little one or making a gift from the heart. The repeating pattern of tiny leaves adds visual and textural interest to the fabric. Featured in a fresh green, it’s one of those designs where you can’t go wrong choosing a colour, as it looks lovely in every shade.

Worked flat from the bottom up, the back, front, and sleeves are knitted separately before being joined to shape the yoke. A button fastening at the shoulder makes dressing easy, while tidy finishing details give the sweater a polished handmade feel.

The Jesse Sweater pattern includes full written instructions, a cable knitting pattern chart, a schematic, and a measurement table for four sizes from 0 to 24 months. You'll find it in Scheepjes Pattern Portfolio Volume 04: Kindsome, along with four other baby knits by the same designer. The collection is available both in print from Scheepjes retailers and as a digital download on Ravelry, in English and Dutch.

Handmadepast

Hey, I am Irene and I am the designer of Handmadepast. I live in an old listed building from 1760, 7km from the sea in the Netherlands. I have a sweet little studio there with a real bedstead! I love knitting and crochet, of course, but also quilting, embroidery and everything you can make with fabric, as well as playing tennis, reading and travelling. From an early age, I learned to knit and had a penchant for learning all sorts of things you could make with your hands... even carpentry, glass engraving, painting... you name it.My designs and inspiration come mostly from nature and from the beautiful trips we have taken. I was also an agent for various baby and children's brands for a long time and this fondness is also reflected in my designs. I love playful, colourful, cheerful but also sweet, vintage and cosy.I hope my designs inspire people to get creative themselves. And hope they become as enthusiastic about working with balls of wool as I am.You can find my designs on my website, Ravelry and Etsy
