Cosy, comfortable and seamless, the Dually Beanie is knitted in the round from bottom up using the double-knitting technique. With two layers knitted simultaneously, this clever method results in a warm reversible hat. Crafted from two balls of Scheepjes Unity yarn, a Premium Superwash blend of 70% Merino and 30% Polyamide, the gently fitting beanie designed by Niamh Holcroft is lightweight and supremely soft. The Unity collection comprises 38 striking shades that complement each other beautifully. Mix and match a plied colour with a solid for one hat with two very different looks.

Hi I’m Niamh, from Lancashire, NW England, currently living in Canada with my hubby and my border collie Glen. My mum taught me to knit when I was 9 (so that’s a few years ago!). I started learning crochet towards the end of 2016. Funnily enough, a couple of years ago my mum asked me to teach her to crochet, which was just awesome. I’m so excited when
something I’ve done or said inspires folks. I test knit and crochet and, with encouragement from some wonderful friends I’ve made along the way, I’ve designed my first few items and completed a tech editing course. My inspiration for colours come from mother nature, and there’s always some kind of story attached to everything I make. I love the colours of the ocean and the beautiful warm colours of Autumn. Among my aims is to learn to weave. The hubby bought me a weaving loom a couple of Christmases ago and, I’m ashamed to say, although it’s been looked at and caressed it’s still residing in its box. Besides yarny stuff I enjoy taking photos, especially of the ocean, and have been known to sit for
hours in the worst weather soaking up the atmosphere of strong winds and crashing waves in the hope of snapping a photo I’ll love. I’m somewhat baffled by social media and technology has me pretty much running for cover! That being said I’m Woolly Chicken Crafts on Ravelry, Facebook and Instagram.
