The booklet includes full instructions for knitting socks either toe up or cuff down, so you can follow the method you prefer, and you’ll find stranded colourwork charts for each design. If you’re new to sock knitting, there are plenty of helpful tips and QR codes to access video support when you need an extra hand.

Each pair uses two contrasting shades of Scheepjes Arcadia, our soft yet durable sock yarn that delivers beautiful stitch definition and softens more with every wear. And since a single sock takes only 45–55 grams of Arcadia, you can flip the colours and knit a second pair to make the most of your yarn.

The patterns are written for six shoe sizes, from EU 35 to 47, UK 2.5 to 12, US 4 to 13.

Hi there! My name is Carmen Jorissen and I’m the designer behind New Leaf Designs (formerly Crafty Queens). I live in the Netherlands with my boyfriend and our cat in a quaint little house from the sixties, with a sun-filled craft studio where I spend my days creating new designs, surrounded by all of my yarns.

Knitting and crocheting are two things that fill my life with so much joy. I started both as a hobby in 2011, and it all kind of snowballed from there! They have brought me so many opportunities, and the most lovely group of friends I could ever wish for.

In 2019 I achieved one of my dreams: becoming a fulltime knitwear and crochet designer! I am loving every minute, even though it comes with its own set of challenges.
